What is this game?

Dreams Stacks is a cozy matching game about creating dreams using stackable pogs!

How do I play?

There's a simple tutorial in the game. But just in case:

What are the controls?

But really it's all drag-and-drop. You can play with a mouse or on mobile.

My score: 178! I BEAT THE DEV!

This was really nice to play on my phone with a touch screen, I had lot's of fun!

WHAT. What was your strategy?

(+1)

My strategy included:

  • use many "Finding Rare Treasure"
  • try building one single large  stack by keeping that dreamer asleep with "FloatingThrough Space" (don't worry too much about the other dreams, finish them fast)
  • play many "Flying" on the large stack
  • use "Climbing a mountain" on the large stack
  • nightmares are only a problem for the small stacks, so I try to finish them before the nightmare reaches the end
  • however we want some nightmares to reach the end in order to not finish the large stack. We want that alive as long as we can
  • if we do have to finish the large stack to avoid waking up, we will start a new large stack after that

I recorded some gameplay with that strategy (and got 221 as a score!)

I knew Floating Through Space was too overpowered... I'm so so happy you actually read the dream powerups.

You really played the game how I intended! Plus 221 is incredible, I loved watching you think through the fragment choices. I'm going to try to beat your 221 tomorrow morning!

Very meditative gameplay I'd love it as an mobile game when you are on the road to somewhere :)
The progress bar of a dream a bit misunderstood by me... The more it full the better result?

(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah it's a little confusing. The more full, the worse - Because it means the person will wake soon!

I really liked it! It's gameplay was a bit confusing at the beginning, tho.

Also, I get the idea of a "relaxing" game, but waiting that long for the pieces to come up isn't so fun.

(+1)

Yeah... I should make a mechanic where you can speed it up!

(+1)

In fact, I just created that mechanic! Try it out!

Thank you so much. Love the game ^^

Thank you for playing Neo-Kraft!

Great premise, I love the idea. Keep up the amazing work!

Pros:

- The music and calm nature matches a dreamscape.

- The pace of the game was great

- Matching games are always fantastic

- The theme matched every component of this game. I loved that the pieces flowed in sort of an "S" trail, as if floating to the sky.

- Very humorous names for the dreams

Cons:

- I was waiting for pieces longer than I would have liked at times

- When the unused pieces reached the end of the trail, I wasn't sure if that was supposed to punish me

I HAVE ADDED A SPEEDUP BUTTON, YOUR WAIT IS OVER.
